Construction & sitework
Restrooms on a Jacksonville build site
From a slab pour off Philips Highway to a warehouse shell out at Cecil Commerce Center to a two-year vertical job downtown. The unit count comes off the crew size, the placement comes off where the work actually is, and the service schedule gets set before the first unit lands.
The count
One unit per ten workers on a forty-hour week, bumped up if the crew is running six days or the job is outdoors through summer. Add a hand-wash station for every three units, and an accessible unit anywhere the public can walk in.
The placement
Close enough that nobody loses twenty minutes walking, far enough that it is not in the way of the crane or the pour. Units move as the work moves - tell us when the site changes shape and the next service repositions them.
The schedule
Weekly as standard, twice weekly for a crew of any size through a Jacksonville July. It goes on a route, so it happens without anyone on your side having to chase it.
Before you call
Construction & Sitework - the usual questions
Most standard drops across Duval, Clay and St. Johns go next day, and a morning call often makes the same day. Macclenny and Hilliard are the far ends of a route and get slotted first or last in a day.
Yes, and they should. Tell us when the site changes and the repositioning happens on a service run rather than as a separate trip.
If the public can reach it, plan on one. On a fenced site with crew only it is a judgment call, but a public-facing job is where it becomes the difference between a pass and a callback.
Those crews are working open trench in the roadway, so travel lanes drop to one and placement has to be coordinated around the excavation. We plan those around the dig rather than around the map.
That is most of what we do. Units stand for months on a scheduled route, with the servicing rhythm reviewed if the crew size changes.
Both are fine, with one caveat: the open pads out there are loose sand after rain. A firm approach for the truck is what decides whether the unit lands where you want it.
